About A and A

Here’s one incident, please tell me what to make of this ‘se I don’t know how I should react.

Me and both Papa and son A were taking an evening walk yesterday. Since A Junior is an accident-prone prankster my eyes were glued on him, especially after he twisted and turned in exasperation to release his hand from mine. He was dancing merrily on the road and attracting every passer-by’s attention. No need to point out that my heart swelled with pride and I was smiling away to glory 🙂

Now, while I was busy ogling at my kid two boys, who appeared in their teens, passed by us. A Junior who was looking and smiling at me suddenly stopped and turned to look at those two till they were out of sight. I was startled and asked A to help me fathom just what happened.

A smirked mischievously and told me that those boys had been staring at me and A Junior was returning them just that, only his stare was ‘cold and hard’(Yeah right!).

Now, wasn’t A supposed to react to this? While he was quiet and nonchalant, A Junior became my ‘protective’ son who at least gave them the ‘stare’! When I complained about this to A, he shrugged it off saying, ‘You’re looking pretty, and they just looked at you, not like they misbehaved or anything. Big Deal!’

Well??

  1. yeah so what's there to react to this ? your hubby said you are looking beautiful..that's a compliment and read that..don't read too much in the stare of those teens 🙂 Glad at that protective son thing..and since junior A is doing his job senior need not work then 😉

  2. See I like A..he lets you me rather than go all macho on you. That is so cool. Now if they had misbehaved I bet he would have stepped in..And A Jr. is too cute.. don't know where they learn such things from 😀

  3. I agree with Comfy totally on this :DJunior A is indeed very observant and truly mum's boy 🙂 Loved his sweet concern for you.My hubby does the very same thing. He doesn't act macho or jump in unless there is something of actual concern.Just chill and enjoy junior A's wonder years 😀 :DCheers!!

  4. @Nu: Yeah Junior's doing his job alright! But the compliment came after this incident…wonder if he'd say that to me otherwise..doesn't hurt to be said that once in a while ;)@T: Oh T…wish you could see that look of his…it was sooooo cute!! I couldn't stop laughing later :P@Comfy: He lets me be…true..and he's a far cry from the 'macho' image…in fact I retaliate or reprimand people more than he does :DSeriously…where do kids get this??@CB: Junior A is very observant..sometimes I marvel at this too…this was a first timer for the 'concern' thing…and I loved it!! :)Wonder Years…how correct! 😀

  5. Girl, don't you complain! can't you see you have it all? An appreciative husband who gives you space and a protective kid to make you feel like a queen!Did you hug the kid for me yet?

  6. @zephyr: True…Husbands do feel proud if someone gives that kind of 'look' to their wife I guess…just a look by the way :)Protective alright…you know he protects me from his own dad too sometimes (much to my disappointment!) :PI did hug him…and I told him its from his Aunt Zephyr! 🙂

  7. It was raining compliments for you! You husband, the two teenagers (they one dare to stare at a married woman with husband, when they really need to!). And your kid, a smart one well I believe that there couldn't be a compliment in the world that beats his feeling…. so enjoy the moment! 🙂

  8. @Addy: A Junior's reaction was completely unexpected…and that was the best part..I didn't know guys start having 'protective' feelings for their moms from so early on!@Chandrika: I'd like to believe that now 😛
