Har pal mujhe hai dikhta wo tera muskurana,
Apni hasi se tera sabko kareeb laana,
Milkar tujhe jo bhoole wo insaan mil na paaye,
Wo fan kahan hai sabme yun dil ko chhu ke jaana.
Na maanga tune kuch bhi, na chaha kuch bhi mujhse,
Meri khushi ko samjha duniya mein azeez sabse,
Haari ya giri jab main thama tha haath mera,
Milta hai kahan sabko aisa bhi dost rab se.
Ki lakh tujhse baatein, aur lakh mastiyan bhi,
Jab galtiyan ki maine, ki tune sakhtiyan bhi,
Roothne manane ki baari jab bhi aayi,
Bin soche humne de di duje ko maafiyan bhi.
Kaanon ki bali teri maani hamesha apni,
Bin puche le li maine jo cheez tune pehni,
Roop tere jaisa kyun mujhko na mila hai,
Jo meri shikayat thi, ab mujhko bas hai sehni.
Dil mera kyun na maane wo kal chala gaya hai,
Jo socha na tha hona aakhir wo ho gaya hai,
Na rok paaya koi is baar jab gayi tu,
Dhoka ye bura tera bahot zor se khaya hai.
Ma nahi thi meri, tu meri saheli thi,
Khoya tujhe to jaana, bin tere akeli thi,
Teri chhavi hai mujhme par baat wo nahi hai,
Pal kat rahe pehle se, par tab wo zindagi thi.

“Roop tere jaisa kyun mujhko na mila hai”. Soul is far superior than facial appearane and you have got her soul and character. Real beauty lies not in physical appearance but inner character. It was written 10 years back, hope your perception has changed now.
I had been raised being told by everyone that I hadn’t taken after her so it bothered me growing up. Of course, now I know it doesn’t matter. I would be glad to have imbibed even a part of her strong character and wisdom.
Your creativity in writing and the way you express yourself strongly shows you have taken after her in wisdom and character. You seem to underestimate yourself a lot of may be those around you haven’t realized your potential and worth.
