Hi friends! Ganpati festival is on in full swing and the positive, charged atmosphere everywhere is contagious. We’re having the best time visiting friends’ homes and pandals for darshan and enjoying loads of amazing modaks and sweets for prasad. While I don’t have a sweet tooth, my family has a sweet jaw and I love treating them to their favourite dishes. I’ve shared quite a few sweet recipes on the blog too. Sharing some of them in this post for ready reference for your offering your Ganeshji.
This Halwa is made during special occasions in our household for prasad. It’s a simple yet tasty recipe and comes together quickly. Made with just three ingredients, it is one of the best sweet recipes to treat your cravings. Top it up generously with dry fruits to make it more indulgent.
I fell in love with the Orange Cake at Theobroma and wanted to replicate it at home. However, I wished to enjoy my slice guilt-free without disturbing my diet. Hence came my healthy twist, where the sugar and refined flour were replaced with jaggery powder and wheat flour. The fresh orange juice and zest brought out its flavours beautifully. A must-try!
Created during the lockdown, this recipe came as a saviour for our afternoon snacks. My kids loved pitching in by mashing the bananas and making all kinds of (mis)shaped pancakes. A great way to use overripe bananas, the touch of chocolate makes it a family favourite in no time. It tastes great topped with chopped almonds and walnuts.
Our mango-loving family enjoys the rich and fragrant pleasure of this beautiful fruit in every form. I’ve shared plenty of mango recipes but this layered mango dessert is my guilty pleasure. With crushed cookies, vermicelli, sabja seeds, and of course mangoes, its texture is different and interesting. The icecream on the top makes it even better!
Which one of these sweet recipes have you tasted or would like to try? Please share with me.

Delicious Post! I would love to try the orange cake recipe someday for sure.
