From hand-painted ones to digitally printed and now almost extinct, movie posters have come a long way. I remember being awed by how inviting they looked and felt driven to the theatre for a show. That was the time when movie-watching was a family affair and boy, did we love it! Movies have a way of reaching out to us and bringing our hidden emotions to the fore. They’re an escape from reality, a safe place, and sometimes a dose of motivation. What do they do for you?
This is my seventh post for Blogchatter Half Marathon and is on the same lines. I’m writing 100-word stories with a picture prompt as part of my Blogchatter Half Marathon posts since I love creating fiction.
I’m also trying to capture one emotion in every post. Today’s emotion is: AWE.
‘Oh my, you guys are lethal!” Julia exclaimed as she indulgently ogled at the collage in her room. An avid movie fan, she had collected posters of every movie she had seen and put them together.
“Good looks, fit body, sexy voice, great dialogue delivery, it’s all amazing. I bet you must feel like God!” She continued. A half-lit cigarette dangled from her lips, its smoke creating a halo around her favourite stars.
Standing on her prosthetic legs wasn’t painful anymore. “I’m a fighter, just like you. No accident can stop me. Bye! Martial arts time.” She said, turning around.
