Saree is one garment that makes every woman look pretty. It suits every body type and is the perfect way to celebrate womanhood with elegance. It is an integral part of our culture and any Indian festival or occasion is incomplete without it. However, the one thing that completes a saree and takes its grace a notch higher is the blouse. Even a simple saree can become extraordinary if we pair it with a trendy blouse design.
Whether it is the upcoming wedding season, a formal day at work or a house party, you can never go wrong with a saree. Selecting the right blouse with it can be a bit tricky though. Read on as I share with you some bold and beautiful designs that’ll make you feel and look like a lady.
Flared sleeves with a deep V neckline
Flared sleeves look best when you’re going for a well-draped saree. They’re quite comfortable to wear. You can choose any material but a thicker one will make the design stand out. A deep V neckline with just a hint of cleavage will make it look sensual while keeping it elegant. Accessorising it is a personal choice but I’ll suggest you to try oversized pieces for effect.
Beautiful checkered blouses
Checkered blouses are a great addition to your wardrobe because of their versatility. You can experiment with them with different and vibrant colours. Sleeveless, boat neck, full sleeves, etc you can choose any design and be sure that it will rock. Remember to select the size of checks according to your body type; small ones for the curvy and bigger for the petite ones.
Backless designs with detailing
If you’re up for it, set the room on fire with these beautifully bold designs. Backless blouses have made a comeback and how! Inverted V or U backs with knots at the base are the latest fashion statement. Accessories like shells, laces or shimmer give them a whole new edge. They’re padded, usually high-collared and hassle-free. Make sure they’re form-fitted well for your real beauty to come out in them.
Stunning plunging necklines
Plunging necklines look best with minimal as well as occasional lehengas and ghagras. For wedding attire you can use them with fabrics like velvet, jhama or silk. Cotton is a good choice if you’re keeping it simple and elegant. Dupattas of a flowy fabric will help accentuate the look. Bun up your hair and let that lovely neck get some attention.
Long collar blouse with net sleeves
The highlight of this blouse is the elaborate embroidery on the long collar. It helps accentuate your neck as well as shoulders and is sure to make heads turn. The net sleeves have a delicate detailing which helps in giving it an overall festive look. Glam up with loads of shimmer and look your prettiest best.

Fashion isn’t just about clothes but also the grace with which we carry them. Sarees have a huge fan base not just in India but internationally too. Blouses too have been as much in style as sarees. Why not try something new and make a statement with them?

I am big saree lover. I don’t get many occasions here to wear it so my collection is also very limited. I am still more into conventional blouses. But if I have to make a shift then I might go with the long collar one.
