Camouflage face paint, hearts beating furiously and a resolve of acting out their sinister plan, they crouched behind the grill near the door.
Revenge is a dish best served cold. She wouldn’t know what hit her!
Inside, the lady regaled her bored maid about the ‘thieves’ she reported to the cops. Her alertness had helped thwart a huge robbery and she was mighty pleased with herself for it.
Just then someone pelted a stone at the kitchen window which cracked the glass into multiple tiny shards. The maid ran towards it to ascertain the damage while the lady sped outside to catch the miscreants.
Taking the cue, the gang of adolescent mango-stealing boys sprang to life.
She stared in shocked disbelief as they flung several missiles at her.
Balloons filled with coloured water, now making her now white sari resemble an awkward rainbow!
Cackling victoriously, they fled.
